Phil Marinucci takes U.K.’s «Nothing To Lose» ten years forward

🇬🇧 English version

Phil Marinucci, from Toronto, has a thing for the late eighties. Back in 2023 he released «FLY», a track that paid tribute to the AOR and prog rock sound of that decade. Now comes the follow-up, «Nothing To Lose», and this time he digs even deeper into the record crate.

The song is a reimagining of a track originally recorded in 1979 by the progressive rock band U.K. Marinucci’s idea: bring it forward ten years and ask what it might have sounded like had it been cut in the late eighties or early nineties, with the big melodic AOR production of that era. Keyboards, layered guitars and a chorus built to fill an arena.

«Nothing To Lose» was released on October 10 and is out on all platforms.

«Nothing To Lose» is now in rotation on The Beerman Club Radio and in the Song of the Month vote. If it takes you back to the right decade, you know what to do.
